YCP
based

your

Social, Emotional, Academic
Critical View
According to the results of a study conducted by EducationWeek “arts experiences boost critical thinking, teaching students to take the time to be more careful and thorough in how they observe the world”. [1]
Academic benefits
Numerous researchers have also found that engaging in art activities can be linked with “higher test scores and graduation rates”, possibly due to an enhanced “ability to think more creatively in other subjects” [2] Art experiences have been shown to supplement academic achievement.
Health Benefits
In addition to academic benefits, art also has health related benefits. Researchers have found that art may help by “improving areas that help manage stress” and “[improving] psychological resilience”. [2]
